24/9/2008: Outokumpu's Copper Tube Business is now Cupori
Cupori Group Oy purchased Outokumpu Oyj’s copper tube business in the summer of 2008. The transaction made the new company, Cupori Group Oy, into the leading producer of copper installation tubes in the Nordic countries and one of the major suppliers of industrial tubes in Europe.
“We will operate in all our market areas under the umbrella of the single, unified Cupori brand. Our ambition is that Cupori will stand for quality, professionalism, innovation and customer focus,” says Marketing Director Jaana Matilainen of Cupori Group Oy. “In the construction sector, we want to enhance adoption of solutions that are environmentally friendly and improve quality in the sector.”
Cupori Group Oy’s legal company names will be changed during this year. For instance, Outokumpu Pori Tube Oy will be renamed Cupori Oy. By launching a consistent brand across its entire market area, Cupori will build a strong corporate image.

Our offering – our products and the related services and information – is based on the needs of our customers. We want to help our customers improve their competitiveness with our offering,” says Marketing Director Jaana Matilainen.
