Being 100% recyclable, copper tubing is the environmentally friendly solution for constructors, residents, property owners, plumbers and maintenance personnel alike.

Copper tubing has had its own recycling system for several decades. Old copper tubing can be melted down to make new tubing without affecting the metal's characteristics. Recycling means not only protecting natural resources, but also significantly cutting energy costs. Making new tubing from old consumes only about 10% of the energy needed to manufacture it out of ore.

As a natural element, copper is present all around us in different forms and compounds, whether as a trace element or as an ore deposit. According to the latest statistics, about 34% of the 22 million tonnes of copper used worldwide each year has been recycled. The lifecycle of products containing copper can vary greatly - anything from a few years for electronic products to over 100 years for buildings.
